STATE BOARD MEETING MINUTES ARCHIVE STATE BOARD MEETING, Monday, Sept 12, 2022
Meeting came to order at 5:08 pm at the Morgan County Fairgrounds main building. The treasurer was absent. The April 17-19 2023 Convention update was reported by Janice Hoeltke. Convention/State Show is to be held at the Seasons Hotel & Event Center in Nashville, Indiana. Vendors reported as the same as last month. Kay Meyers was listed as a maybe vendor. Brickyard was going to be contacted as a possible vendor. Goodie Bags: Regina Vandivier & Carol Moore Auction: New Dimensions Name tags: Central Second Chance porcelain/supplies: Palette Talk? PAINT-IN: Patricia Bontrager, Bertie David, Marge Kocher ByLaws Sherry Hoefling talked about Article #2 Section #1 & mentioned that the notes from Janice Bloomberg suggested that we change Article 11 Scholarships for school (PASI) Money for education Marketing for new members Only one piece can go to the museum & not to put a piece up for judging if you don’t want it to be shipped to the museum. Dues: April 30th. (World changed it to JUNE) Officers/Duties: Each Guild needs two officer delegates Board Member Duties: STATE SHOW-President has to be elected from the host guild It was decided that the next board meeting be in January. Need suggestions on spending monies for education Talked about disbursements of show profits: The president & 1 delegate are supposed to go to the World Show & have their expenses for travel & hotel paid. Money for PASI, etc. Sherry mentioned that if a club dissolves, the funds they have in the bank goes to the World Organization. Ellen Wilson-Pruitt sent photos of the Vice President dessert plate project to the Indiana State Archives (each plate and artist) Ellen also contacted Tea Time & Victoria Magazines and the DAR about articles on China Painting.
